Eight Disneyland employees who have been on a weeklong hunger strike to protest stalled negotiations on a new labor contract will break their fast today as they end their demonstrations in Anaheim and move to Disney’s headquarters in Burbank.

Suzuki’s Ryan Dungey of Belle Plaine, Minn., won his first 450cc class race last week in Phoenix. That was with top riders James Stewart Jr. and Chad Reed already out of the race. Reed was not on the track Saturday while he recuperates from surgery to repair a broken wrist, but 2009 series champion Stewart, who was involved with Reed in that crash, was right there. Almost the entire 20-lap race.

James Stewart Jr. only had to wait for that one rookie mistake. It took 17 laps for the 2009 Monster Energy supercross series champion to jump on it. Rookie Ryan Dungey, who led Stewart by more than five seconds, bobbled just before the start of the 18th lap to allow Stewart to make the pass and Stewart held on to win the series opener Saturday night in front of 43,841 at Angel Stadium.
